Men first mocked the Jesus followers, then they came to faith.
Ritu* and Bika* were surprised to see so many men playing cards and drinking tea in the village they had visited earlier in 2025.
Ritu and Bika had gone to the village to share about Jesus, but the men accused them, saying: “You are preaching about your foreign god to get money!” As the men mocked them, Ritu explained that they were not sharing about Jesus for money, but instead, for a heavenly treasure that cannot be stolen or taken away. Ritu shared that money was not so important for them, saying, “…we are not saved by money like silver or gold, but by the precious blood of Jesus.” And the women continued to share about Jesus.
Amazed by the young ladies’ words, the attitudes of the men quickly changed. They wanted to know more about Jesus and started to read the Gospel books that Ritu and Bika gave them.
Sometime later, four of the men were so impacted by what they heard and read that they joined a weekly fellowship led by Ritu and Bika. They did not want to miss an opportunity to learn more!
Today, 22 people are gathering for regular Christian fellowship, including the four men, who eventually put their faith in Jesus as their Saviour. Together they worship, pray and learn more from the Bible.
