Logos Hope is a unique international ministry. Around 350 volunteers serve to be a catalyst to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers amongst the least reached. The Logos Hope leadership team, is responsible to lead the ministry and community on board. People Services aims to help foster a healthy, vibrant, growing community, passionate and equipped for Christian life and service through providing personnel, people development, people care, talent management and medical services.

Logos Hope is a unique international mobile ministry. On board more than 400 volunteers serve to be a catalyst to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers amongst the least reached. The Logos Hope leadership team, which is formed by the on board stream leaders under the direction of the on board director, is responsible to lead Logos Hope ministry and the community on board. One of the streams is the people services which aims to help foster a healthy, vibrant, growing community, passionate and equipped for Christian life and service. The 24 people serving in the people services on board do this through providing personnel, people development, people care, talent management and medical services to the community and a school for the children on board. The current people services director is due to leave Logos Hope latest in September 2024.

Job Content As stream leader you are responsible to envision, direct, motivate and support the leaders of the People Services Stream. As part of the Logos Hope Leadership team you provide spiritual and strategic oversight in order to empower and motivate the ship community to be effective in ministry and service. You manage all areas under the responsibility of people services. in order to achieve ministry objectives. You report to the on board Logos Hope Director and the Chief People Officer on shore.

What we are looking for You have leadership experience in an international environment, if possible on one of OM Ships. Preferably you have experience with personnel management and / or people development. You are able to build and motivate an international team and set vision and direction. As you take responsibility and initiative you exercise discernment in decision making and manage resources, change and stress well. You are able to communicate effectively and have good people skills. You are willing to serve for at least 1 year or longer.

What we offer We offer a unique and challenging leadership experience in a vibrant international Christian community on board Logos Hope on a voluntary basis. You will visit ports around the world and be able to minister to many layers of society as the ships opens to the public in the ports visited. A program with devotions, prayer nights, Sunday services is part of life on board.
