Journey Overview

Come and mobilise the British Church! Share your mission experience and encourage more believers from the UK to pray, go and give as we take the Good News of Jesus to those who have never heard it before.

You will work together as a team, sharing the experiences that you have had with OM to a variety of audiences in different style meetings! We will give you an induction into life in the UK training during your time with us, to ensure you are prepared to tell your experiences in an imaginative and creative way, to keep your audience with you, including the use of multimedia presentations where appropriate. We will organise different events for you to attend; opportunities include church, student and youth meetings and other events. Britain has a great history of sending missionaries around the world. But now, many churches are small, and, in many areas, the spiritual landscape is bleak. At the same time, there is growth in other churches, with believers from Africa, India and Hong Kong strengthening the British church. You are invited to come and share what the Lord is doing in your life. I know that you will be an encouragement to the British Church and a light to the people of the UK.

If you live in the UK, and are 18+, you can use this link to apply now

What To Expect

You will be expected to take an active part in team life with OM in the UK – taking part in team events and sharing your experiences with the team.

One of the team will act as the team’s bookkeeper, at least one of the team should have a current driving license (and pass the Quinta driving test), and there will be administration in relation to the meetings that you attend, e.g. evaluation of the meeting, data capture etc. It would be good to bring any national costumes with you, or articles representing the places you have been if you have any!

Days in the office would be varied depending on the meeting schedule and when travelling away from the Quinta you would normally be hosted by others. At the end of your time on the team there will be the need to make sure that all the meetings have been documented, as well as a time for reflection and debriefing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

You will be based at OM Quinta in a guest flat – in Shropshire but on the Welsh border – beautiful countryside, great team and sometimes some sheep around too! There is easy access to road and rail links. There will be a lot of travelling around the UK involved. When travelling you'll most likely be staying in people's homes.

Will there be food provided?

While at The Quinta, food is provided for you to make your own meals. When travelling there is an allowance for necessary meals and snacks.
If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

We would arrange transportation from one of three airports (Manchester, Liverpool, or Birmingham) or pick up from our local train station, Chirk.

What should my health condition be like?

Generally good health.

Do I need a visa?

EU/EEA, Swiss and UK citizens do not need a visa for this option.
OM UK cannot sponsor any visas, although there is a small chance non-EEA participants may be eligible for a UK Ancestry visa or a Tier 5 Youth mobility visa, depending on their circumstance. Please check with us if you think this is a possibility. No other visas, including Visitor visas, are suitable.
