Because of the limited number of places, applicants will be chosen by the team of trainers. As we will be performing interviews and approving applications as we receive them, we encourage you to let us know of your interest as soon as possible.

We prioritize applications from those interested in long-term ministry in Central North Africa (Tunisia and Libya), but we also welcome applications from those who are interested in other countries in MENA not yet running a STEP into MENA program. Artists interested in MENA are also welcome to apply, as this is one of our field's unique focus areas. What To Expect

During 2026, the training will be divided into two parts.

4 weeks part-time, individualized, online training prior the in-country training, including:

“Launch into MENA” conference (1st week of September)

“Prepare to Harvest” course: part-time self-studies with four weekly online calls.

12 weeks in-country training:

Trainees receive basic training for service among the least reached of MENA, coached by experienced trainers.

Trainees study the local dialect and go deeper into developing their language and cultural understanding as they build friendships, take language classes and travel around the country.

Trainees receive mentoring while engaging more deeply a chosen area (i.e. creative ministries, travels, more focused language learning or preparing for long-term ministry)

After the training

Participants interested in joining our field’s training progamme request to continue for another 20 months. This training will be more mentor-based, with a high focus on language and cultural learning. This training can start directly after the STEP into MENA program or at a later date.
