Journey Overview

ZavCentre (ZC) often hosts missionaries, volunteers, and representatives from church and Christian organizations around the world. Besides 60 beds, we have video and audio recording studios, workshops, and the Belgian OM office. fACTOR is a three-month volunteering and discipleship programme in Belgium. It's an opportunity to explore faith, while serving practically at ZavCentre, our guest house and conference centre.

Applicants must be 18 or over. fACTOR is tailored towards participants aged 18-40.

If you live in the UK, you can use this link to apply now https://www.uk.om.org/short-term-mission-application-form

Price excludes flights and insurance and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

It is highly recommended you join OM UK's Getting into Gear weekend (GiG) either in May or October before you join. This is a weekend of training and orientation held in Shropshire for an additional cost of £75.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate if the ministry you choose involves working with children, which may cost an additional £15.

What To Expect

Two thirds of a fACTOR participant’s workday will be spent doing regular or project based practical tasks like cleaning, painting, and other activities related to the upkeep of ZavCentre. The other third of the time will be dedicated to intentional discipleship and mentoring aimed at helping participants explore and dive deeper into their faith.

In their first week with us, participants will be assigned a personal mentor who will walk alongside them throughout their time in Belgium. They will also join occasional day outings, enabling them to see and experience more of Belgium.
