Journey Overview

The School of Transcultural Communication and Missions (ECTM) is designed to train the people of God in a theoretical-practical training lasting 8 weeks divided into: 4 theoretical weeks, 3 practical weeks and challenge and 1 week of spiritual retreat where they will be in an environment where they will live together all the time and learn to work as a team. To train or prepare in different areas people who are interested in serving in the mission field

The training includes accommodation, materials, food and ministerial trips.
The participant is responsible for the cost of tickets to the training site and the application for visas if necessary.
Program available for Spanish speakers.
The total cost of the program is 1300 USD

What To Expect

ECTM is a full-time residential school-type program that seeks to assist in the preparation of individuals to carry out intercultural or local missions by understanding the biblical basis of mission and current missionary issues. Time at ECTM will help participants gain first-hand missionary experience and immediately put their learning into practice. The modules or structure contain material regarding spiritual formation, evangelism, leadership, teamwork, missions, purpose and calling.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 18-99

Be over 18 years old, belong to and be an active person in your church, have a good attitude and disposition, be in good physical and mental health, have and demonstrate love for Jesus and his work.
Be a flexible, adaptable and teachable person, have a good testimony and be able to work in a team and under pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

Yes / Participants are accommodated in dormitory-style rooms, separated for men and women.

Will there be food provided?

Yes / Meals will be prepared by ECTM participants themselves. Participants are expected to eat most meals. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary needs.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Participants from abroad and/or from other provinces of Ecuador must plan their arrival to Guayaquil on their own, either by land or air as appropriate.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants must be in good health and able to perform typical household tasks, play with children and young people and walk a reasonable distance without difficulty.

Do I need a visa?

For foreign participants, they must personally consult the requirements or if a specific visa is necessary to enter the country.
