Journey Overview

Africa Trek is set with Trekkies and Leaders learning and travelling together. Participants will be involved in diverse ministries along the way. This is a Discipleship Mission Exposure with a Cross-cultural set up. Participants take a set route within Southern Africa for three months.

The Trek cost is set on a sliding scale.

There will be a debriefing in the last country of the Trek before Trekkies leave for their respective countries. Price excludes flights, insurance, visas and any vaccinations or DBS required and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Individuals applying must be 18 or over. This opportunity is aimed at participants aged 18-30.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost up to an additional £30.

What To Expect

Africa Trek focusses on:
Spiritual formation – Focussing on participant’s Spiritual growth through Bible Study, Individual quiet time, and cooperate worship.

Ministry experience – Exposure to ministry opportunities such as Preaching, Teaching Sunday School, Showing Jesus Film and Community Development involvement within the different communities of the country visited with a visit to major tourist sites.

Character formation – through group interactions and culturally diverse exposure.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 18-30

A Christian ready to step out of their comfort zone.

Team player, self-motivated and someone ready to share and learn new languages.

Teachable and ready to experience God on this adventure

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

It will be shared accommodation for both single ladies and men separately.

Will there be food provided?

Food will be prepared communally, and the team will be eating together.

Participants with health challenges or dietary needs should provide a medical report before the Trek.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

All participants to fly to Julius Nyerere Intenational Airport in Dar es Salaam where the Trek will start from and those using buses to drop off at Dar es Salaam main bus station.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants to have been vaccinated from Yellow Fever.

Do I need a visa?

Visa to enter Tanzania and all other countries to be visited should be obtained prior to travel.
