Do you long to see lives transformed by the love of Christ? Are you gifted in organization, communication, and creating structure that empowers others to thrive? OM Norway is seeking a passionate and reliable administrator to join our office team and support our global mission of mobilizing people into vibrant communities of Jesus followers.
Position: Administrator Location: Kristiansand, Norway Commitment: Full time
About the role: As an administrator, you will be the steady hand behind the scenes — coordinating logistics, managing communication, and ensuring that our teams can focus on outreach and discipleship. Your work will be essential in helping the Gospel reach the least reached both in Norway and the rest of the world.
In addition, you will be able to engage in our local ministry in OM Norway. Besides being a sending field, OM Norway is now deeply involved in reaching out to immigrants and refugees living in Norway. Weekly activities for our team involve teaching Norwegian in our language school (three days a week), language cafés separate for men and women, Discovery Bible Studies and prayer meetings. Every year we arrange a free Children's Camp for local kids, and every month we have a gathering of Muslim families in our homes. We are in a pioneering work of church planting, always seeking new ways of reaching out to the community.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day office administration, including email correspondence, scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Provide administrative support to the Norwegian OM team and leadership.
- Assist with organizing local events, team meetings, and travel logistics.
- Assist in bulk mailing to partners/supporters
- Maintain contact lists, databases, and filing systems.
- Coordinate with OM international teams and partners.
- Contribute to a warm and welcoming office environment for visitors and OM events
- Provide logistical support for external OM events (church meetings, workshops, annual meetings, etc.)
- Coordinate team activities and update relevant calendars.
- Ensure compliance with Norwegian regulations and standards.
- Update and maintain accurate data and records of databases.
- Participating in local ministry activities
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all administrative tasks
- Reporting to OM Norway's Field leader
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset.
- Ability to work well in a team and cross-culturally.
- Ability to engage with different denominations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Emotional intelligence and adaptability in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
We are looking for you who:
- Love Jesus and have an intimate fellowship with Him.
- Have a heart for missions and a desire to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.
- Are organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
- Are familiar with basic office software (Word, Excel, e-mail tools).
- Enjoy working in a small team and are willing to take initiative.
- Are willing to learn Norwegian.
- Are committed to serve for at least two years in this role.
Why join us? Your administrative and relational skills will have a global impact - helping people live out God's mission and strengthening our ministry worldwide. You'll be part of OM Norway's team, small now, but hopefully growing very soon, living and working alongside people from all over the world.
This is not a paid position; financial support will need to be raised for life on the field.

* The jobs listed on this website do not have a set salary. This means that the person who applies will need to raise their own support, which is money that they will use to live on. The amount of support money they need to raise will depend on things like where they are from, if they have a family, and what country they will be working in. There might be some jobs that pay salary, but these are rare and would need to be negotiated with the sending offices and the teams you'd like to serve with. If you have any questions about this, please contact your local home office. Always keep in mind that our ministry depends on generous giving from our partners around the globe and God's ongoing provision. Joining OM is always seen as a step of faith and trust in a God who will provide for our needs through his chosen people.
