After the conference, you will travel with your teammates to the outreach country. You will be involved with the local office and their ministry. We warmly welcome those who have a passion for making a difference in people's lives by using your gifts and talents.

The team will be learning the local ‘K' language, culture, custom and lifestyle to gather words for a concise dictionary in their local language. This k dictionary is much needed work to go along the oral Bible translation project to come. As there is not much written work among the community, this is a mean to understand how the gospel be communicated in their language. STEP OUT is a short-term program that provides practical mission training and experience hands-on mission in Asia.

There will be a slight discount for those who apply before 1st May 2025.

Price excludes flights, insurance, any visas or necessary vaccinations and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost up to an additional £30.

What To Expect

26 July: Arrive at Taiwan for conference. All participants will have dinner together before the first program starts.
27-29 July: It includes main sessions, interaction sessions, team building, different practical workshops, cross-cultural awareness, GO night, prayer night, community night. The conference will end in the evening of 29 July.
30 July: Depart conference to outreach.
30 July - 09 August: Outreach
learning the local ‘k’ language, culture, custom and lifestyle to gather/collect words for a concise dictionary in their local language.
09 August: Depart to home

Age Range: 18-99

We are looking for people who love Jesus. No previous experience is necessary as here it could be your starting point! Additionally, if you have a heart for Asia but are not sure about where to start, this program is definitely designed for you.
Another distinctive feature for STEP OUT is the BILINGUAL conference (English and Chinese)! We warmly welcome Chinese speakers who struggle to communicate in English as Chinese interpretation would be provided throughout the conference.

Participant is recommended to have basic English communication skill due to our team common language is in English.

Will there be food provided?

You will be offered Taiwanese food and local Food. Special dietary needs have to be communicated in advance.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

You should arrange your flight to Taoyuan International Airport(TPE), Taiwan – ,Outreach Country(Miri International Airport) - home country. Full details of travel arrangements will be provided by your local OM office.
Airport pick-up will be arranged on the arrival day. Transportation will be provided from the conference venue to the airport on the departure day.

What should my health condition be like?

You should be in good health, and be responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health, medical, and travel insurance

Do I need a visa?

Only a TOURIST visa is required. In addition, Taiwan has visa exemption relationships with many countries. Please confirm full details in the website of Taiwanese bureau of consular affairs:
