Wounded and disillusioned from the organisational failures of a previous ministry, Chan I’Ching found a freedom to serve and exercise her gifts when she re-joined OM in 2015. “In OM, there is a sense that everyone is significant because we are all children of God and each person plays a part in the Kingdom.” Her journey with OM continues till today.

Where can you find 10 men from 10 different countries who work together closely, and sporadically, in a foreign land? Woo Kit Sang left his job as a school teacher in Selangor in 1986 and found himself growing exponentially in OM Pakistan as he served with a multinational group of men from different continents, countries, ages, education backgrounds and professions. They ministered to Pakistani churches and out in the streets of Karachi. Though open to remaining long-term in Pakistan, Kit Sang realized God was calling him to serve as a pastor in the Methodist Church in Malaysia and he has just retired in 2022 after about 30 years of service.

“Discipleship is the core purpose and focus of my ministry.” When Lam Kah Wai joined OM Japan in 2018, she was excited to realise that the OM vision “to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers” matched the desires planted in her heart. As she serves with her team in rural Japan, she has many opportunities to disciple both seekers and young believers.

From the high seas and the remote jungles of Papua New Guinea, Saw Ai Hua found her calling, ministry and life in the Land of the Rising Sun. After serving on Doulos from 2006 - 2008, this Penangnite is now pastoring together with her husband in an international church in Tsukuba, Japan. She also connects with Japanese youth through teaching in a private high school.

Samuel Krishnan’s experiences visiting ministries dealing with addiction while he was serving on board Doulos in 1996 – 1998 would shape his future path. Now a pastor in charge of Shalom Community Character Development Centre in Pedas Seremban, Ministry of Damansara Utama Methodist Church, Samuel remembers the creative and new ways for helping addiction recovery that he had been exposed to many years ago as a new believer on Doulos.
