Partnership Overview
Do you have a heart to make others feel welcome and at home? Do you enjoy meeting new people? We are looking for someone that is handy, loves to roll up his/her sleeves and who wants to serve God and others in a practical way. Come and take care of our OM base at Lacken House, Co. Roscommon, and oversee all guest services.
Required Skills
OM Ireland is based at Lacken House, a 5-acre property with a fully furnished 10 bedroom house, 4 self-catering chalets and office space (includes large meeting room, kitchen, and dining room). Each year we are privileged to host several short-term teams, special events, and visitors from across the world.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A heart to see Vibrant Communities of Jesus Followers among the Least Reached.
- A welcoming and caring personality to help our guests feel welcomed and at home.
- Ability to anticipate, plan for and respond to the needs of guests.
- Practical and organisational skills in order to effectively get accommodation ready, being on stand-by during the stay and cleaning up afterwards.
- A servant-heart and willingness to work practically to serve mission workers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Catering skills or willingness to learn.
As our hospitality work is seasonal it requires great flexibility, but also allows you to be involved in other ministries. You will have plenty of opportunity to get involved in the community and a local church.

* The jobs listed on this website do not have a set salary. This means that the person who applies will need to raise their own support, which is money that they will use to live on. The amount of support money they need to raise will depend on things like where they are from, if they have a family, and what country they will be working in. There might be some jobs that pay salary, but these are rare and would need to be negotiated with the sending offices and the teams you'd like to serve with. If you have any questions about this, please contact your local home office. Always keep in mind that our ministry depends on generous giving from our partners around the globe and God's ongoing provision. Joining OM is always seen as a step of faith and trust in a God who will provide for our needs through his chosen people.
